The spring is situated at the base of a high cliff, from which the water emerges to form a cave system beneath the Sierra del Abra. This location is characterized by the presence of a substantial body of water during the summer months, with clear blue hues indicative of its pristine state.

It is in El Mante, where a diving depth record was achieved by Sheck Exly who is considered the father of deep and cave diving. El Mante was discovered in 1989 by Exley, and it is where he reached the record depth of more than 250 meters. Since then, divers from all over the world are interested in exploring the depthsof this historic site.
